St.Mary’s School in West Delhi’s Dwarka sector-19 wins a prestigious award named-‘Green School Award’.
This award is presented by the Climate Reality Project, India, and Confederation of Indian Industry. The Award was based on the Green Audit done by CII that made detailed evaluations on air quality, energy, water, waste, biodiversity, and innovation.
School’s principal Sheelu Matthew, expressed her happiness, and said: “We are future-ready”. She also asserts: “It is heartening to receive this award as it is a pat on our back for our school to be future-ready. Being proactive in introducing and exposing our students to understand the reality of climate change has been our endeavor for many years now. The green practices of the school will surely make an indelible impact on the minds and thinking of our beloved students”.
It is positive enough to see that an institution is taking responsibility for the betterment of the environment and of the society we live in, as well. As we are well aware of the condition of our deteriorating environment, it surely seems as a step closer towards improvement.
