Dwarka makes a step towards becoming the Biggest Solar Plant Hub

4 Societies in Dwarka will now work on Solar Energy by the order of Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The biggest thing is that no cost is taken from the societies for this plan.These solar plants are put upon the rooftops by Oakridge Energy pvt. limited. This Solar electricity produced will be sold to the residents at a price of Rs. 2.50 per unit and this price will not be changed for the next 25 years. Electricity will be delivered to the families with a good network passing through meters.

The 4 societies in which these solar plants will be set up are located in sector 4 namely spate CHGS, Samaksh apartments, Supriya apartments and Navratan apartments. These societies consists approx 450 houses.

The CEO of Oakridge Energy pvt. limited said that approx Rs. 2 crore were spent on this project and that only the rooftop of the societies were used in this project. The plant has a capacity of producing 300 kilowatts of energy. This will satisfy around 20% of electricity demand of the residents of the society

He also told that they are planning to do the same to 15 other societies of Dwarka.
